Don't Judge a Fitness Training Gizmo By Its Cover! |

In the personal training world, many of my peers look down on all of the infomercial fitness training gadgets, but I tend to look at things from a slightly different angle. While I agree, many of the fitness training gadget companies make claims that nobody or nothing could live up to, I think they have value. Much like a post I had a few weeks ago about having laptop cradles on a treadmill...if the gadget gets an otherwise inactive person to suddenly start fitness training - Go gadget, go! People don't have a problem doing the wrong exercises, or have a problem doing the exercises wrong - people have a problem not following exercise plans! America is getting fatter, right? Lazier? Because it is easier to sit on the couch, rather than start exercising! But if one exercise gizmo can "trick" 100's of 1000's of people into starting a fitness training routine, and only a few 1000 actually stick with their exercise plans...that is America! Join a gym in January, quit by March, right? It is just a numbers game. I am not advocating all infomercial machines and their gimmick advertising schemes, because we can all agree they hold a lot of lies...but don't be too quick to judge someone who buys one of those gadgets...
