The word phrase "permanent weight loss" implies "for a lifetime", right? So why do millions of Americans spend billions of dollars per year on fad diets, fat reducing pills, and gizmo exercise machines?
Instant gratification. Plain and simple, people want change, and they want it now...but can you blame them? We get everything else fixed quickly - eye glasses in an hour, photos in minutes, and EYE SURGERY in just minutes!! The truth is there is no "instant" in PERMANENT WEIGHT LOSS.
Here are a few tips to keep you away from the "Quick-Fix" Plans:
1. Look for a meal planning that offers variety.
2. Don't subscribe to any meal plan or online diet plan that requires you to buy certain products or foods.
3. Stay away from any fitness training machine that makes "spot reducing" promises such as "Flat Abs in 30 days" or "Thighs of Iron in just 6 minutes a day".
4. Don't buy into any weight loss plan that does not require fitness training or meal planning...if the weight loss plan doesn't require both, it is not a permanent weight loss program.
5. No pill will change your body significantly.
But do these, and you will increase your chances for success:
1. Hire a local personal trainer or an online personal trainer
2. Commit to structured meal planning or an online diet plan that makes sense for YOUR lifestyle.
3. Stay consistent. You don't have to be perfect, but just choose better foods more often, and choose to exercise more days than not.
