Blog Series: Meal Planning Mistakes Part II - "Eating Too Much" |

In my last blog, I spoke about not eating often enough, but I think it goes without saying - Eating Too Much will definately put the pounds on you! Weight gain, no matter how you look at it comes down to eating more calories than you burn off.
I think there are 2 types of people who are eating too much - 1. Those who could care less about meal planning and how many calories they are putting into their body, and are just feasting on anything and everything they can get their hands on and, 2. Those who ARE concerned with meal planning, but fail to realize the amount of calories each meal contains.
I suggest getting on a structured meal planning program. This will take care of calorie counting, and put the meal planning focused on the preparation (and consumption) of the meals! If you choose to not follow a meal planning program, I suggest counting your calories for about 3 days. This will give you a general feel for your eating habits and the amount of calories you consume with each meal.
In any event, to achieve permanent weight loss, your meal planning will have to have consistent calorie reduction on a weekly basis.
