Carbs get a bad rap, plain and simple.  People think carbs are bad and they try to avoid them.  While certain carbs should be avoided, the majority of your calories need to come from carbs in your meal planning.  Carbs should comprise about 40% of your calories - give or take.

Your fitness training routine is fueled by carbs.  Without them, your fitness training plan will suffer and so will your results.  You see, during exercise your body wants to grab the source of energy that is most readily available to it...carbs!  The absence of carbs during a vigorous fitness training routine could result in the sacrifice in muscle in many cases - Get your carbs!!!

Your brain is fueled on carbs.  Leave carbs out of your meal planning and you will not be able to focus.  You may have experienced this lack of focus if you have gone without eating for an extended period of time.  Unless you can afford "brain lapses", get carbs in your meal planning!!!

So what carbs are good?  There are many, so I recommend choosing an online diet plan to get a customized meal plan just for you.  The carb/protein/fat ratios are usually set right, but just to be sure - check and see that the carbs are around 40% of the calories for the day!
