Mother's Day is only a few days away, and if you are like me you are probably scrambling to find a gift for the mother in your life! I know flowers, candies, dinners, and honey-do's are the norm for Mother's Day gift-giving...but what if you make it a healthy gift this year...a gift that shows you really care.
Maybe assess her nutrition and fitness situation and see what "holes" you can fill for her, without making her feel like you are giving her a subtle hint ("get your butt back on a fitness training program!!!). Hey, most women I know would love a personal trainer, and personal training is a great way to kick start a fitness training program, or just take her exercise plan to a new level. Meal planning - we all struggle with this! She is busy, and quite frankly meal planning doesn't always fit into her life and to have it done for her could take a great burden off of her. There are a lot of meal planning businesses out there, from full meal prep to detailed meal planning for her own prep. Now a personal trainer, and a meal planning company may be out of the Mother's Day gift budget for some people, but what about something to aid her fitness training program? A heart rate monitor? A dumbbell set for At Home Workouts?
Take time to think about her this year, and when you give her the gift, make it known to the mother in your life that you were thinking about her happiness long term and just didn't see how flowers or chocolates could help her out (you may still have to buy them as a back-up!).
