The Problem With Most of The Popular Diets |

Many of the so-called diets that get most of the press out there is that they are too expensive to fit in the average persons lifestyle. They can be done for a time frame, but they never really teach how to eat and do meal planning on your own! Take a person who just needs to lose 30 pounds...should take about 2 1/2 to 3 months on a good diet combined with a regular fitness training regimen. (3 months) Then once the weight is lost, it typically takes about 3 months for your body and mind to adapt to this eating plan. (3 more months) And finally, you have the transition time (if you plan to try to eat "on your own") it takes to go from the "diet" to a lifestyle. (3-6 months). Now take a look at 3 popular meal planning diets out there and see the financial commitment:
Jillian Michael's Meal Delivery Plan by eDiets - 9 months = $5386.50 ($19.95/day) NutriSystem - 9 months = $2643.48 ($293.72/mo) 5 Factor Diet - 9 months = $4041 ($449/mo)
That is a lot of chicken and apples! I am not saying the above are not good meal planning programs, but just not realistic for the average person. Meal planning needs to be realistic, FOR YOU, in your lifestyle. Ask yourself "Is this something I could do for the rest of my life?"...if so, you have a realistic plan. Remember, as I have said in the past, your plan will change. It will evolve. That means you are moving down the path to success...evolving with your ever-changing lifestyle.
